Two Shades to the Night. Two afterthoughts on tracks originally featured on Songs for Mariann Voaden (Folklore Tapes, 2011). These alternate versions arose during live performances of that album in 2013. Side A began in an Edinburgh studio, in between takes for another project (and was finished off later at home on the reel-to-reel). Side B is a recording taken at the Folklore Tapes 'Lore of the Land' show at the Glad Cafe in Glasgow 24.04.13. These tracks feature appearances from Tom Western on drums and Malcolm Benzie on fiddle.
Released by ITLAN as a limited lathe 7″ record (hand-cut by a man in a shed in New Zealand and shipped around the world) in 2015. These are fuzzy echoes, heard for a moment in the thundering world.
